We are committed to reaching every student to help them achieve a successful outcome from the secondary school experience.

It is very important that students complete a secondary education to have opportunities to further their education and have better career opportunities. In Ontario, it is a requirement to remain in secondary school until the student has reached the age of eighteen or obtained an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)

The requirements for earning an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) under OS are as follows:

  • students must earn a minimum of 30 credits, including 18 compulsory credits and 12 optional credits;
  • students must meet the provincial secondary school literacy requirement; and
  • students must complete 40 hours of community involvement activities
